We are Engineering World Health at UCSD, and we would like to invite you to attend this year’s EWH Project Showcase! This year, we will be hosting the event virtually through the REMO platform. The event will take place on May 27th from 5pm-7pm. You can RSVP here!
Engineering World Health at UCSD is a student-led undergraduate organization that focuses on improving the state of global healthcare by designing low-cost medical devices for low-resource communities. We are made of students from all majors and walks of life who share our passion for improving global healthcare. Besides working on year-long student-led projects addressing specific medical needs, we also host events such as technical skills workshops, a global health speaker series, project showcases, and submit our finalized designs to the international Engineering World Health design competition.
Our annual Project Showcase is an event where student-led engineering project teams present their designs and work they have done over the year. This is a great opportunity to see what engineering work has been done by our undergraduate teams who have worked incredibly hard this year on their designs, overcoming the challenges caused by the COVID-19 pandemic and an entirely virtual year. We are very proud of all they have accomplished and are looking forward to presenting it to you!
The following projects will be presented at the showcase:
Arm Support for Table Activities
Microscopy Software for Parasitic Infection Diagnosis
Newborn Resuscitation Training
Diabetes Monitoring App
Additional information about the project teams participating is included in the document attached. Once you have completed the RSVP form, we will also be sending out information on how to set up and navigate REMO.
We are excited to present the work of the engineering project teams and are looking forward to having you attend!
