Incoming Freshman
Freshman Admission to an Undergraduate Major
High school students may apply to enter as a freshman undergraduate student into the Department of Bioengineering in order to graduate with a B.S. in Bioengineering, Bioengineering: Biotechnology or Bioengineering: Bioinformatics. Entry into Bioengineering Bioinformatics is "direct", as it is an "open" major; however, students applying to the "impacted" majors (Bioengineering or Bioengineering: Biotechnology) must either be directly admitted from high school, or upon completion of 9 specific courses may have the option of applying in fall quarter of their sophomore year.
